Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to do music just for pleasure or to aid in growing, but that she must explore it. The singer began to write songs of her own. Her inspirations include famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love of Bjork's style. To counter her mother's suggestion that she ought not to aim to become famous with her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them as well as their contribution to society. As a young girl, she began to play the piano and at nine was writing music. Her family didn't know until the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Her only passion is to write music. She says that music is her favorite way of feeling something.
