Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Anna Gunn is a US actress. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting while attending Preparatory School. The late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She was a theatre student in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a year studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to film and television. Anna had her first big part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. After appearing as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's and was later chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood were also an integral part of her professional acting career. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled"Numbered Days.. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the marriage he shares with Skyler is mirrored in the series.
